Provides appropriate nursing care in a physician office under the direction of an RN or physician. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
1 Provides appropriate nursing care under the direction of physician. Assists with office procedures. Administers medications and treatments as appropriate. Triages patient phone calls, relaying messages between patient and physician appropriately. Documents patient interactions accurately and promptly.
2 Provides appropriate patient education, in the office and by phone.
3 Follows up on scheduled tests and procedures, relaying results appropriately and documenting accurately.
4 Serves as a clinical resource to other office personnel as appropriate, by covering in the reception area. Assisting with checking patients in and out and scheduling future and same day sick appointments.
5 Performs other job related-duties such as maintaining exam rooms, checking supplies.Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED Equivalent
Licensure: Requires current LPN license in state of Missouri;
Experience: (2) two years clinical experience, preferrably in speciality
Certification/Registration: BLS/CPR certification annually
Other skills & knowledge: Customer service and computer experience required.
Experience: Physician's office or outpatient clinic experience preferred.
